Personal Profile
A prize-winning Australian musician of Chinese-Vietnamese heritage, Michael de Huy is an artist of rare multi-disciplinary sovereignty, recognized within international classical circuits as a compelling conductor, concert pianist, and composer. His artistic signature is defined by a comprehensive command of musical architecture, allowing him to navigate seamlessly between the precision of traditional European symphonic performance and the fluid boundaries of contemporary composition.

Currently based in Spain, Michael recently graduated with highest honors from the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona. He completed his Master’s degree on a full academic scholarship under the tutelage of Àlex Alguacil, achieving a flawless, perfect score in his final graduation recital.
Expanding his versatile artistry into the elite tier of orchestral direction, he is now undertaking advanced conducting studies under Maestro Salvador Brotons at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).
